Charivari Day, Strange Cargo’s annual summer carnival, takes to the streets of Folkestone. This year celebrating the renovation of The Leas Lift with the theme Beside the Seaside. This is a must-see event, part of our town’s culture.
Parade starts at 2pm from the Stade by Folkestone Harbour.
Live music on the Bandstand from 3:30pm
A vibrant procession of 800+ people including students from local schools, bands, dancers and giant carnival builds will parade from Folkestone’s historic Stade, to the Leas band stand via the Old High Street and town centre.
Bands include – Beatroots, Samba Pelo Mar, Batala Portsmouth, The Native Oyster Band and Carnival Collective.
