The popular 10 mile race enjoys a fast, flat course, mainly on the traffic-free seafront promenade from Hythe to Folkestone and back. Folkestone Running Club has been organising the Folkestone 10 since 1984. The race is professionally organised with careful route marking, marshalling and chip-timing.
The 2025 Folkestone 10 Race takes place on Good Friday 18th April 2025 at 10am starting from Hythe Green. Entry is only possible via their website, entries cannot be accepted on race day.
JUNIOR FUN RUN
There will also be a Junior Fun Run on The Green, starting at 10:15. Cash entries will be taken on the day, cost £3.
- School Year 4 and below – 500m distance
- School Year 5 up to age 16 – 1500m distance
Whilst the race might be full, anyone can support! There are many gorgeous places to hang out and cheer on the runners. Top spots include the Sandgate Esplanade (grab a cuppa from Loaf, Orchard Lane or Mr Whippet’s) or the Mermaid Beach (Mermaid café nearby) or the Coastal Park where the gardens are particularly beautiful right now.
